Called to be a Light in the Rockfish Valley
Serving GOD with JOY and GENEROSITY
When You Visit
What Rockfish Presbyterian Church has in store for you
Choosing to visit a church may be easy if you’ve been in church
all your life. But, you may be new to the idea of church and have
no clue what to expect. Especially if you’re part of the latter group,
here’s what you’ll find at Rockfish.
First of all, park in front or back – there is ample parking and
both front and back doors are easily accessible for wheelchairs.
We also have accessible bathrooms.
Next, your children are welcome here.
There is a time for children during worship
and then children age five and under may
go to the nursery downstairs if they (you)
choose. (At the 8:30 a.m service, children in 3rd grade
and bellow and below leave following the Children's
Moments for Sunday School.) Of course, if you
have an infant or toddler, you may take your child
to the nursery prior to worship if you choose.
To find the nursery, follow the upstairs hallway away from the sanctuary. Just before you
reach the large room at the end (Fellowship Hall) turn left and go downstairs. At the bottom of
the stairs, turn right. The nursery is on the right. A nursery attendant will greet you.
Sunday school for Adults and older elementary through high school aged children is at 9:45 a.
m. Nursery care is available at this time.
When you enter the sanctuary for either 8:30 a.m. or 11 a.m. service, you will be greeted and
given a bulletin which will show you the order of our worship activities. Find a seat where you’
re comfortable (there are no “assigned” seats here.)
We believe that God brings each of us to worship for a purpose. We'd like to know more
about you, but will respect your desire to proceed at your own pace.
Dress is usually fairly casual, but each person has his/her own style.
If you come on the first Sunday of the month you will be
invited to join us in celebrating the sacrament of communion.
We believe God’s grace through the sacrament is available
to all, so, by all means, join us!
Please take time following the service to speak to our pastor and to join us in the Fellowship
Hall for refreshments and a time to get better acquainted.
Please know YOU ARE WELCOME HERE!
