Rockfish Church employs a pastor, a music director, a secretary, a nursery attendant,
Buildings require maintenance and light bulbs need to be replaced. These are called
"normal operating expenses." These expenses may seem mundane and unexciting until
you remember that by keeping the church in this place we are honoring the work of God's
Spirit that has been continuous here since 1746.

offerings during the year (Joy Gift - Christmas, One Great Hour of Sharing - Easter,
Pentecost - late May or early June, and Peacemaking - First Sunday in October). We
also receive on the first Sunday of each month the 5-cents-a-meal offering to help
alleviate hunger, and on the fourth Sunday of each month the Emergency Relief offering
to help local people in need of emergency funds.
Our GOAL is to continue to increase the amount we give to mission by 2% more than the
percentage increase in our total budget each year. This way our giving to mission
steadily grows.

Calculating Your Pledge
The Biblical concept of giving is based on a percentage of income
- If you have never pledged before, consider a STEP IN by pledging a
percentage of your annual income per week or per month as you feel led.
- If you have pledged before, consider increasing the percentage of your
pledge with a STEP UP.
The goal is to grow in our generosity as stewards of God's grace.
